Mellior secures £21m Bentry contract

Mellior Group has secured a £21m contract to construct Bentry Capital’s flagship London scheme.

Work has already begun on Angel Village, located in Islington, which will deliver 130 homes.

Stripping out the offices, which are being converted into the homes, commenced in September 2025 with a fit out beginning in January 2026.

The first phase will see 88 homes delivered and the first owners are expected to move in at the start of 2027.

Mellior has a dedicated team of 10 on the 1.7 acre site, with 40 operatives daily and will have up to 120 during peak activity.

“With every development site there are unique challenges and Angel Village is in a very central location, so coordination and thoughtful logistics are essential for a smooth delivery,” said Steven Hughes, operations lead at Mellior.

“Our construction works are planned and phased in order to reduce the impact on neighbouring tenants. We are progressing quickly and the site is already taking shape.”

David Cain, chief development officer at Bentry Capital, added: “Our in-house construction arm Mellior Group is an invaluable part of our business and helps us ensure complete oversight for every development.

“Where Angel Village is our flagship London site, we were approached by multiple London-based contractors, but we know the quality, precision and attention to detail Mellior Group embodies and we’re proud to have them leading this scheme.”
